Award-winning singer Robert Habermann will be telling the story of the artist, who sold more than 150 million records worldwide, as well as singing his classic hits at the Broadway Theatre on Friday.

Robert goes all the way from the starting point of when the big band jazz star, was a painter, who wanted to make it as a singer to his decline and all round extraordinary life at the Barking venue.

“I want my audience to discover Sinatra’s remarkable journey and his talent - his highs and lows, - there were many - the great points in his life and his disappointments - that it was not all easy.”

“There was heartache on the way.” Robert explained.

The artist was the first major British singer to perform a concert to celebrate Frank Sinatra’s 80th Birthday at London’s Queen Elizabeth Hall in 1995, after actually meeting Frank himself.

“In 1993 I was introduced to Sinatra by singer Margaret Whiting who invited me over to New York to work with her.

“She suggested that I should create a show about Sinatra’s extraordinary life and for me to sing the songs that he had made his own - but I would always be his story teller, not his imitator.

“With Whiting’s help I created a special and unique biographical show of Sinatra’s life celebrating his 80th and then his 100th anniversary birthday at London’s Southbank Centre.”

Hits on the night will include My Way, Come Fly With Me, Strangers In The Night and of course New York, New York.

“I am one of the only performers who performs Sinatra’s songs, who actually met Sinatra and other associates who knew him and worked with him. My stories are first hand.

“Wherever I perform this show, the audience come out feeling that they know the man better and understand what made him tick and of course they hear 30 of his greatest songs from 1930’s.” he added.

Sinatra His Way show will start at 2.30pm on Friday, February 24.Tickets cost £10 - visit thebroadwaybarking.com or call 020 8507 5607 to book your seats.
