They may not rule the world, but a Take That tribute band is looking to conquer the bingo hall.

Totally Take That have been travelling the country playing the award-winning pop group’s classic hits for more than six years, but now plan to get “the crowd dancing” at Mecca Dagenham bingo hall, in Cook Road, Dagenham, on Saturday.

Hits such as Never Forget, Relight My Fire, Back For Good and Shine that made the Top 40 charts will be performed on the night.

Band member, Craig Holborn, said: “We’ve played there once or twice before, either last year or the year before.

“It was a fantastic night and a brilliant crowd there.”

The four piece band are based in the north of England and have travelled across the whole of the UK and Ireland with their show, including playing at hotels, festivals and a variety of big name venues.

“We’ve been everywhere, we did a gig at Newcastle race course in front of 13,000 people, that was amazing and we played at Devon Cliffs Festival, the stage was on a cliff edge, it was absolutely brilliant to play there.

“We’re full of personality and that’s how we win the crowd over,” he said.

Craig, who performed on X-Factor 10 years ago, says Never Forget is his favourite of the group’s classic hits and always a high point of their well-polished performances.

He added: “It’s got to be the one, as it just makes everyone start clapping and putting their hands up in the air.”

The group also play gigs as a group called The Boys and are planning to audition for ITV’s Britain’s Got Talent later this year.

“If you see us on TV, please vote for us.” Craig added.

The Totally Take That tribute act will take to the stage at 9.30pm this Saturday.

Tickets cost £5, or you can upgrade to VIP tickets for £10, which include front section seating, a meal and a drink. Call 020 8593 6808 for more information or to book your seats for the show.
