There will be road closures and parking restrictions during the torch relay

There will be a number of road closures and parking restrictions on Sunday to ensure the Olympic flame travels safely through the borough.
The first half of the route (from when it enters the borough to when it reaches Hedgemans Road) will be on a rolling closure basis.
A number of roads will also be closed for a fixed period of time during the relay. The details of these closures are as follows:
9.30am to 1.30pm Heathway – Junction of Hedgemans and Church Elm Lane, to the junction of Wood Lane.
10am to 2pm Wood Lane – Junction of Heathway, past the Civic Centre roundabout, to the junction of Wisdons Close.
10am to 2pm Fiddlers junction – No access from Wood Lane, Whalebone Lane South and Green Lane.
10am to 2pm Rainham Road North – Civic Centre roundabout to the junction of Fels Close.
Noon to 2pm Whalebone Lane South – From the Fiddlers junction to the junction of Chadwell Heath High Road
Noon to 2pm Chadwell Heath High Road – From the junction with Whalebone Lane South to the Havering boundary in London Road
Some roads will be access only, so you can drive down for a short distance until it reaches a dead end. The following are in force from 10am to noon.:
Whalebone Lane South - Junction with Selinas Lane to Fiddlers junction
Green Lane – Valence Avenue junction to Fiddlers junction
Rainham Road North – Oxlow Lane and Eastbrook junction to Fels Close
Rush Green Road – Dagenham Road junction to Wisdons close.
Between 3pm on Saturday and 3pm on Sunday there is no parking on the Torch Relay route, even where there are marked bays. Parking on the pavement will still be allowed unless indicated below.
Hedgemans Road - no parking on the left-hand pavement (the side in which traffic moves from Becontree towards the Heathway) between 3pm Saturday and 3pm Sunday.
Central Park – there will also be no parking on the roads and pavements surrounding Central Park.
This restriction will be in place from midnight on Friday July 20 to midnight on the Sunday and includes the following roads:
•From Civic Centre along Rainham Road North to junction of Fels Close.
•From Civic Centre along Wood Lane to junction of Wisdons Close.
Any vehicles parked in a restricted area or causing an obstruction will be moved.
