You don’t have to make the trek to the North Pole to get into the Christmas spirit this year.

Santa will be making the journey from his arctic home to Ilford’s High Street on Saturday, November 25, where an arrival parade in his honour will begin at 11am.

The big man in red will start the parade at Starbucks, making his way down the High Street to Waterstones bookshop and then back into the Exchange Ilford Shopping Centre, where he will be settling into his Grotto on the shopping centre’s Level 3.

He will be joined on this merry journey by the cast of much-loved children’s TV show Paw Patrol - Marshall, Chase, Rubble and Skye, as well as Peppa Pig. Stilt walkers, dancers and a marching band will round out the parade.

Following the arrival parade, young fans will have the opportunity to meet their favourite characters and have a photo taken with them at intervals from midday until 3.30pm – PAW Patrol will be patrolling on Level 3, and Peppa Pig will be giggling away on Level 1.
