Ilford man appears in court charged with the murder of Raja Ali in Dagenham

An Ilford man has appeared in court charged with the murder of Raja Ali in Dagenham.

Navarda Rhooms, 26, of Eton Road, is accused of killing the 33-year-old in Braintree Road, on September 25, 2016.

Navarda was arrested by detectives last week and subsequently charged with murder and violent disorder.

He appeared before Barkingside Magistrates’ Court and the Old Bailey last week.

Navarda was remanded in custody to appear before the Old Bailey for a plea and trial preparation on March 23.
