Suspected rape in Barking and Dagenham sparks police investigation

Police are investigating a suspected rape which happened in the early hours of this morning near the railway tracks in Barking.

The attack happened near the junction between Sparsholt Road and Kennedy Road at around 3am.

The victim is being supported by specially trained officers.

No arrests have been made. Police are continuing with their enquiries.

The roads are closed while officers investigate.
