Stockland drama results in allegations.
A 50-year-old man from Axminster has been charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm with intent following an incident in Stockland on April 12.
He was further charged with the possession of an offensive weapon in a public place and criminal damage to a police vehicle.
The accused will appear in court next month.
Teenagers were forced to flee from their beds after their family car erupted in flames which licked at the front of their home following an arson attack.
