An badly decomposed body has been found in the Little Ouse river at Brandon.
Suffolk police were contacted just before 4pm today (Sunday) after an off-duty Norfolk police officer canoeing on the river spotted a body.
The body, described by police as “badly decomposed”, was partially caught under a tree on one of the banks near to Gashouse Drove in Brandon.
Suffolk police went to the scene and the fire service alerted for help with recovering the body.
A cordon has been put in place as an investigation gets underway at the scene.
The death is being treated as unexplained.
