Police hunt thieves who broke into Waitrose
Police are hunting thieves who broke into a Waitrose supermarket and stole tobacco and cigarettes.
The two men broke into the shop on Thursday, July 5, just after 3am and stole the haul from the kiosk at the front of the store.
They were both wearing dark clothing and balaclavas and one was carrying a white bag.
Officers believe the offenders were using motor cross bikes as their means of transport.
Police would like to hear from anyone who may have seen the offenders, and anyone with information about cigarettes being sold in pubs or on the street.
Call Detective Constable Paris Cook from the Reactive Investigation Unit on 101.
Alternatively if you have information but would prefer to remain anonymous call Kent Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
Firefighters used a stretcher to remove a woman from a Dagenham flat piled high with clutter during a seven-hour rescue operation.
