A dog owner who let his Staffordshire bull terrier launch attacks on the public has been given 80 hours’ community service.
Kevin Davis, 26, of Eaton Gardens, Dagenham, was also ordered to pay £50 compensation and £85 costs after reports the dog, called “Marley”, had caused injuries in May and June.
His mum Evelyn Davis, 46, of Woodward Road, Dagenham, was ordered to pay £30 compensation and pay £85 costs after admitting to being in charge of the dog, which was dangerously out of control.
The pair were sentenced at Barkingside Magistrates’ Court on July 17.

Barking and Dagenham Police said the dog must be kept on a lead and muzzled when in a public place.
