Police have seized a suspected dangerous dog thought to have been involved in two attacks on residents from a Dagenham address.
Officers from Barking and Dagenham Police visited the Woodward Road following allegations of dog bites in May and June 2012.
They seized a Staffordshire Bull Terrier and arrested a man and woman, who were charged with offences under the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991.
Plasterer, Kevin Davis, 26, of Woodward Road, Dagenham was charged on July 5 with being the owner of a dog allowed to be dangerously out of control in a public place.
Unemployed Evelyn Davis, 46 of Woodward Road, Dagenham was charged on the same day with being in charge of a dog dangerously out of control in a public place.
Both have been bailed to appear at Barkingside Magistrates Court on Tuesday July 17.
Last month, Barking and Dagenham Police were investigating a string of cases of dog attacks in public places.
In March, five police officers were mauled by a dog in Newham.
