A MAN has been taken to hospital after falling from a ladder using a chainsaw.
The incident happened in Wratting Road, Haverhill, on Sunday afternoon.
The 43-year-old man was cutting branches from a tree.
He fell 20ft and suffered back and chest injuries.
It is thought he received a kick-back from the chainsaw and was then also hit by part of the falling tree.
A medical team from the Suffolk Accident Rescue Service (SARS) were called to the incident.
Volunteer doctor Fiona Andrews and volunteer critical care paramedic Mark Milsom arrived on the scene along with the East of England Ambulance Service.
He was taken to Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, by ambulance for treatment for non life threatening injuries.
