The driver of a car was taken to hospital following a head on collision in Dagenham last night.
The crash between a Renault Clio and a Peugeot 206 happened at the junction of Gale Street and Wykeham Avenue, at around 11.40pm.
A man who was driving one of the cars was taken to hospital, believed to be suffering from non life threatening and non life changing injuries.
The man driving the second car was arrested by officers at the scene for drink driving.
Speaking on web forum Streetlife.com, resident Barry W described hearing an “almighty car crash”.
