Anthony Manton walked into the Barking Arms in Station Parade and started a fight with a man inside the pub on November 25 2011.

When he was pushed out of the pub the 26-year-old painter began fighting with other members of the public.

Twenty people later came forward to speak to police about his behaviour, which was captured on CCTV.

Manton, of Cheshunts, Basildon, initially entered a plea of not guilty to affray, but changed his plea to guilty during proceedings at Snaresbrook Court on September 11.

He was subsequently sentenced to 12 months in prison.

Investigating officer detective constable Nainesh Desai of Barking and Dagenham CID said: “A large number of people were affected by Mr Manton’s violent behaviour and he will have ample time to reflect on this as he serves his custodial sentence.”
