Officers are looking for Abdul Hamid Khan, 33, who has links to Chadwell Heath, Accrington, Blackpool and Haslingden in Lancashire.

He is wanted in connection with an attack in Haslingden, where a 43-year-old woman was grabbed from behind and sexually assaulted on August 19.

Detectives believe the attack could be linked to an earlier sexual assault on a 65-year-old woman which happened on August 14 in the same town. The woman was grabbed by a man and sexually assaulted.

Detective Inspector Marie Haworth, from Burnley CID, said: “We’ve had a good response from the public since we issued some CCTV last week and Mr Khan is somebody we are keen to speak to. I would appeal to anyone who knows where he is or who sees him to get in touch with us.”

Anyone with any information should call Lancashire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111

quoting log number 0234 of August 19.
