Thousands of Tube commuters have suffered major disruption on the District Line today after a signal failure in Dagenham.
Trains were halted between Barking and Upminster just before 7.30am this morning and there are still delays.
Commuters in the borough are being advised to check on-line before travelling.
Tickets and passes are being accepted on c2c rail services and on buses.
Teenagers were forced to flee from their beds after their family car erupted in flames which licked at the front of their home following a suspected arson attack.
