A teenager walking through a wooded area was attacked as he headed for his home in Herne Bay.

A 19-year-old man was walking through the popular dog walking site at the end of Bishopstone Lane at about 1.30pm this afternoon (Friday) when he was followed by a gang of three.

The group followed him, knocked him to the ground, sat on him and then proceeded to steal his property including a watch and a baseball cap.

The victim suffered a minor head injury before the group ran off and has since described the members of the gang.

He described the first as a white 15-16 year old boy, 5ft 4in tall, short cropped tidy dark coloured hair who spoke with a local accent and was of slight build wearing a grey baseball cap with NY motive, grey tracksuit bottoms, grey vest top and grey Nike trainers with black sides.

Another was identified as a white man in his early 20’s with shoulder length dark hair, of muscular build, 6ft 3in tall wearing a black tracksuit and a baby blue style T-shirt.

The final member of the group was a white 19-20 year old man; slim to medium build, 6ft tall who spoke with a local accent. He had short strawberry blonde hair and was wearing black high top style trainers. He also wore green shorts which had a white flower pattern on and a white T shirt.

Anyone with information is asked to call Kent Police on 101 quoting ref ZY/ 020658/12.
