Evita Karvauskaite’s artwork was selected from hundreds of entries by the Dagenham and Rainham MP and her picture will go out to 2,500 people - including prime minister Theresa May.

The Beam County Primary School pupil won a family tour of the London Stadium, a goody bag with gifts including chicolate, a teddy bear and a cinema voucher, and a gift of her choice.

Mr Cruddas said: “Evita had up to £300 to spend on whatever she wanted and chose the latest portable games console, the Nintendo Switch; which I’m sure she’ll have lots of fun playing over Christmas!”

He added: “We had more schools, and more sponsors than ever this year, and I just want to express my thanks to all of the businesses, teachers, parents, and children that took part.”

Pupils from 22 schools across the constituency took part in the annual competition.
