An animal charity has taken in an emaciated Bordeaux mastiff after a woman found the dog tied up in a park in Dagenham.
The animal was so seriously malnourished he was left with protruding ribs.
Post reader Sharon Dennehy believes the dog had been abandoned at Parsloes Park in Parsloes Avenue on Sunday, July 24.
Sharon, 40, of Kingsmill Road, Dagenham, said: “It was tied to a gate. It’s disgusting. There are other ways. If you don’t want a dog, then don’t have one. This dog had been starved for months.”
The mastiff was taken away by a council dog warden and is being looked after by the PDSA charity in Romford.
