Children enjoyed lots of fun-filled activities as a travelling play event stopped off at a Dagenham park.
On August 11 the Play the Park Roadshow came to Mayesbrook Park in Lodge Avenue offering youngsters the chance to try out pedal go-karts, fancy dress, Brazilian drumming and treasure hunts.
Park Ranger Ruth Taylor said the event was a big success:
“We had over 350 people arrive for the roadshow, including new visitors and returning families. We’re very proud of its success as it’s a lovely fun community event for local families and proudly emphasises the image of the park.”
Ruth said lots more free events have been planned.
“Once school starts again there will be more activities taking place for adults during the week, as well as activities for children on weekend,” she explained.
