Man found unresponsive in Dagenham street dies in hospital

The death of a middle-aged man found lying in a Dagenham street is being treated as unexplained.

Police were called to Coleman Road at 7.37pm on Saturday to a report of a man found unresponsive.

He was pronounced dead at hospital an hour and a half later, despite efforts by attending officers and paramedics to rescusitate him.

The unnamed man is believed to be in his 50s.

Enquiries continue with efforts underway to trace and inform his next of kin.
