Three men were injured after a lorry carrying refrigerated lamb overturned in Barking.

The articulated truck overturned around 11.30pm last night at the A406 roundabout in London Road.

One of the three drivers inside the truck suffered a serious foot injury, while the other two received cuts and grazes.

They were treated by the London Ambulance Service.

Around 50 litres of diesel had leaked from the lorry’s 400 litre tank. Fire crews stopped any further leakage and made the engine safe.

Police also attended the incident and closed one lane while the road was cleared.
