A music video has been released to raise funds so a schoolboy who has a rare form of leukaemia can receive treatment from abroad.
Micky Bennett, 11, formerly of Harrold Road, Dagenham was diagnosed with T-Cell acute lymphoblastic leukaemia and is currently receiving chemotherapy at Great Ormond Street Hospital.
His family believe Micky needs ‘Car T treatment’, and are raising funds so that Micky can receive treatment abroad.
The music video ‘Fight Like Micky’ was produced by musician D-SARO and 4FrontRecords and has been released this week.
Micky has also received support from rapper Stormzy and signed merchandise from Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane.
Mum Lisa Bennett, 36, has praised the work being done by the musician D-SARO.
She said: “The music video has been phenomenal, it’s opened up a whole new world for us.
“We cannot thank D-SARO enough, just through a song he has achieved so much for Micky.”
The family is also in need of finding a suitable stem cell donor for Micky and are asking individuals to register.
