London Overground trains from Barking station have been cancelled this morning after a signal system further down the line.

Passengers turned up to stations along the Overground today (Friday, October 5) to be told that due to the failure at South Tottenham trains weren’t running.

A London Overground spokesman said that at present there is no service between Barking and Gospel Oak, but that it is accepting tickets via any reasonable route.

Shortly after 8am London Overground tweeted and said there still is no service, and that engineers are working to get it fixed.

It said: “We still have no service between Barking and Gospel Oak, due to a signal system failure. Engineers are working hard to get this fixed, we’re sorry for the disruption.
