British Transport Police are appealing for witnesses following an assault in Barking

Police officers were called to the scene at 1.30pm, following reports of assault in Station Parade, outside Barking station.

A man was taken by the London Ambulance Service to an east London hospital with injuries, which are believed to be non-life threatening.

Enquiries continue.

Anyone with information is asked to contact British Transport Police on 0800 40 50 40, or text 61016, quoting reference 245.
