Staff at Heathway Shopping Centre remembered their star fundraiser at the annual Christmas light switch on.
Winnie Chapman, who died earlier this month aged 87, tirelessly ran a tombola at the event every year in aid of the Mayor’s charity, so Saturday’s collection was in her honour.
The centre raised more than £590 which will be divided among a few different charities, including Richard House Children’s Hospice.
Centre manager Kerry Debenham said: “We had an amazing event with lots of happy faces and a few tears were shed.
“Winnie’s great granddaughter Lauren turned on the Christmas lights with Santa and her dad Steve Hennigan.
“Our events just won’t be the same without Winnie’s smiling face.”
