With the mercury reaching the low 30s over the weekend and expected to remain high throughout the week people will be looking for ways to keep cool.

Well if you’ve ran out of ideas don’t worry as we’ve created a list of top tips, with data from, to help keep you as comfortable as possible during the sweltering conditions.

Darren Williams, from, said: “We love it when the sun comes out in Britain, but that doesn’t stop us from complaining about how uncomfortable the heat can be.

“Whacking on the air conditioning isn’t a luxury that everyone can afford to do, but luckily there are plenty of simple and cheap ways to make sure you don’t become overwhelmed by the sun this summer.”
