Bacary Sagna could return to the side in September after breaking his leg towards the end of the season
Arsenal have been handed a boost after manager Arsene Wenger revealed that Bacary Sagna could make his return for the early weeks of the season.
The Frenchman suffered a broken leg in the game against Norwich towards the end of last season – his second of that campaign but has made a good recovery.
“He is doing very well,” Wenger said. “There are no problems there, but it will be the end of August for him.”
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has played down suggestions he wants Rafael Benitez to be the club’s new head coach and claimed the delegation that visited England yesterday was hoping to secure an exchange deal with Manchester City for Edinson Cavani.
