Aaron Ramsey believes his career is on an upward curve
Arsenal Olympian Aaron Ramsey is delighted with the way his career is progressing but insists there is more to come.
The Welshman’s rise was shunted by a horror tackle from Ryan Shawcross that ruled him out for 10 months and a loan move to Cardiff followed.
But now he is shining for Team GB in the London 2012 Olympics but the midfielder still wants more.
“I missed about 10 months, which stalled my progress and obviously it takes a bit of time to get over that as well afterwards,” Ramsey said.
“I have been pleased with what I have done so far, but I still think there is a lot more to come from me, and I am working hard and wanting to learn more every day to become the best player I can possibly become.”
Ramsey also has no regrets about causing controversy in Wales after electing to play for Team GB in London 2012.
“It was down to us whether we wanted to play or not and we chose to play,” he added.
“We are proud to be Welsh and we are representing our country as well as Great Britain.
“For me, it’s a unique thing so it’s great to test yourself against them [the other players involved.]”
Transfer news: Scout and former sporting director of French club Monaco Tor-Kristian Karlsen has claimed that Liverpool are set to pip Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United to the signing of Schalke defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos.
