Transfer news: Fiorentina have made a bid for Marouane Chamakh
Arsenal are considering an offer from Fiorentina for out-of-favour striker Marouane Chamakh.
The Morocco international’s future at the Emirates is in doubt after falling down the pecking order.
“Fiorentina asked us about the availability of Chamakh”, manager Arsene Wenger was quoted as saying by Tutto Mercato.
“A day later they came back with a serious offer”, he added.
“We’ll think about it.”
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has played down suggestions he wants Rafael Benitez to be the club’s new head coach and claimed the delegation that visited England yesterday was hoping to secure an exchange deal with Manchester City for Edinson Cavani.
