Harry Redknapp hailed Glen Johnson

Tottenham manager Harry Redknapp has singled out Liverpool star Glen Johnson for special praise after England’s 1-1 draw with France last night.

The full back was solid in defence and looked promising going forward for the Three Lions and Redknapp believes he and the defence will have fewer problems against Sweden on Friday.

“I particularly liked what I saw at the back, especially Glen Johnson, who got forward plenty of times and looked a real danger,” Redknapp told Betfair.

“The five are a good unit and I back them to keep a clean sheet against the Swedish attack.”
