Hammers open with home tie against Midlands side, and end it by hosting Reading
West Ham United will open their Premier League season with a home game against Aston Villa.
The fixtures were released earlier this morning and their opening tie is against the Midlands side, now managed by Paul Lambert, who left Norwich City over the close season.
They will follow that up with a trip to Wales to face Swansea City before starting September with a home tie at Upton Park against Fulham.
On Boxing Day the Hammers will make the short journey to the Emirates Stadium to face Arsenal and will be on the road on New Year’s Day when they go to Carrow Road to face Norwich City.
Their final game of the season will see them face fellow promoted side Reading on May 19 at Upton Park.
Brazil striker Neymar was tonight reported to have chosen to join Barcelona this summer.
