Transfer news: Andre Schurrle could still leave Bayer Leverkusen
Bayer Leverkusen CEO Wolfgang Holzhauser has admitted that Andre Schurrle could still leave the club this summer.
Chelea had a bid of around €20million rejected for the 21-year-old but could return with a larger bid.
And the CEO admitted that Leverkusen will only sell if the price is right and they can sign a replacement.
“I am not keen on ruling anything out at any point in time, but personally I have laid this topic to full rest last weekend,” he told Rheinische Post.
“Of course, we have seriously considered the offer. We did. Still we came to the conclusion we would be unable to sign an adequate and affordable replacement for Andre Schurrle.”
