At the Saturday Open at Redbridge Lakes, M Linford (Redbridge) was celebrating after he took top spot with 19lbs 14ozs.

Second was B Walker (Spro) with 17lbs 8ozs, third was Mervyn Woodley (Bowlers) with 17lbs 4ozs, fourth was Dickie Carr (Drennan) with 15lbs 12ozs, fifth was B Davies (Browning) with 15lbs and sixth was G Eales (Oakwood) with 13lbs 4ozs.

At the Sunday Open at Redbridge, M Linford was first once again with 19lbs 4ozs to complete an excellent weekend.

S Adams was second with 14lbs 12ozs, third was N Warren with 12lbs 6ozs, fourth was M Herbert with 11lbs 15ozs, fifth was B Everett with 9lbs 14ozs and sixth was B Davies with 9lbs 11ozs.

Redbridge Lakes are running cost-cutter matches on Tuesdays and Thursdays for £20, which includes ticket, pools and breakfast. For information ring 020 8551 5663.

Golden peg

The Saturday Open at Tylers Common on the Horseshoe Lake was a 36-peg match and top weight, on peg-54 (the golden peg) went to Graham Dack (Middy) with 184lbs.

Dack fished five metres and down the edge using luncheon meat with carp to 10lbs up in the water.

Second on peg 59 was John Hunt (Brentwood Angling) with 168lbs 8ozs, third on peg eight was Nick Darke (Got-baits) with 136lbs 10ozs, fourth on peg 56 was I Colman (Tylers) with 129lbs, fifth on peg two was Dave Harold (OBT) with 123lbs 14ozs, sixth on peg seven was Richard Wager (Bowlers) with 113lbs 14ozs, seventh on peg 10 was M Luther (Rib Valley) with 91lbs 4ozs and eighth on peg four was D Selleck with 88lbs 6ozs.

Elm Park & Hornchurch fished Pea Lane where top weight went to Colin Luff with 131lbs 10ozs.

Second was Keith Austin with 85lbs 15ozs, third was Toby Marlow with 75lbs 10ozs.

Fourth was Dave Boyland with 56lbs 15ozs, fifth was Dave Tosley with 54lbs 10ozs, sixth was Mickey Steadman with 53lbs 8ozs, seventh was Peter Jones with 35lbs 14ozs, eighth was Martyn Cass with 32lbs 5ozs 8dms, ninth was Peter Darling with 32lbs 5ozs and 10th was Brian Griffiths with 31lbs 4ozs.

The water was very high with many flooded swims.
