Dagenham 88 Runners Christine Sloan set a new personal best at the Marlow half marathon.

Sloan completed the tough, hilly course in Buckinghamshire, which featured over 1,000 feet of ascent and descent, in two hours 46 minutes 28 seconds.

Meanwhile, Trevor Robinson clocked 39.50 over five miles in Loughton at an inter-club cross-country event and Debbie Vince finished the Leeds Abbey 10k in 73.44.

Other members took on various parkrun events, with Manji Gami clocking 24.55 at Valentines.

Mick Brown (22.58) was the first D88 athlete home at Raphael Park, while Ian Cummins (24.40) led the way at Barking.

Ingrid Dias (38.16) was the lone club entrant at the Brentwood event, as Joanne Kingston (42.28) and Caroline Tuck (22.03) took on the Basildon and Burgess events, respectively.

Sonya Veerasamy (29.16) earned bragging rights over Timi (30.36) and Sam (32.37) at Bushy, where Sharon Robinson (30.35) was also in action.

Dagenham’s Ryder Islam was first past the post at the latest Barking & Dagenham junior parkrun at Central Park, finishing in 8.25.

Sam Gibbons (8.38) pipped Dagenham’s Joseph Grange (8.40) to second place, while Krishan Chowdhury (11.13), Amelia Beazeley (13.45) and Annika Chowdhury (13.53) also took part.

Zakaria Rahman and Yasin Rahman both set personal bests of 9.20.
