Tuck also finished fourth overall amongst the women at the race on Sunday, which came up short of the full distance as a marshall sent the entire field the wrong way, as she crossed the line in 40 minutes and 38 seconds.

Danny White also enjoyed success as he won the Sprint Aquathon, a 200m swim and a 3k run, in Upminster as he finished in 19 minutes and 33 seconds.

The Veerasamy’s headed over to Dublin for the marathon with a beautiful Autumn day showcasing the city for all 15,000 plus runners.

First home on her marathon debut was Sonya Veerasamy in a superb 5:03:36, with Timi Veerasamy and Sam Veerasamy scoring 5:05:05 and 5:30:30 respectively.

The three ran the first 10k of the race together.

Across the Irish Sea Ian Cummins enjoyed the Snowdonia marathon, taking in the road around the mountain on a damp overcast day to finish in 4:23:07.
