Dagenham 88 Runners’ Sam Rahman continued his recent fine form with a second place in Saturday’s Valentines Park 5km Parkrun series.
Rahman came home in 18 minutes and 19 seconds to fill the runner-up spot, while club mate Jenny Akroyd was the next to cross the line in 24.29 in 28th position.
Wendy Saunders and Laura Peskett finished 34th and 35th respectively in 25.43, Sam Veerasamy took 72nd in 33.09.
Ian Cummins was one of the events pacemakers and finished 93rd in 37.01, while Anne Duggan was 99th in 38.22 and Savitri Bouffe 102nd in 39.10.
Rahman was also in action in two track races at the Woodford Open event.
In the 800metres he clocked 2.21.76 and followed that up with 10.31.23 for the 3,000m.
Cummins has also been in action earlier in the week when he participated in the Orion Fell Race.
He was the only representative from the club to participate in the three-mile off road race and came across the finishing line in a time of 31.08 for 15th place.
