Barking meet Brightlingsea Regent and Halstead Town will host Eton Manor in the first round of the Essex Senior Cup, with the ties to be played by September 8.
A total of 42 clubs will be taking part in this year’s competition, all looking to emulate Canvey Island’s success when they defeated Colchester United in last April’s final.
Sides from the Senior and Thurlow Nunn Eastern Counties Leagues compete in the First and Second Rounds, with those from the Ryman Isthmian League and higher in the pyramid exempt until Round Three, including Colchester United, Southend United and Dagenham & Redbridge.
In the second round Essex Senior League outfit Barkingside entertain Bowers & Pitsea, while if Barking overcome Brightlingsea at Mayesbrook Park, they face a long trip to the coast to play FC Clacton.
Eton Manor face a trek to Great Wakering Rovers if they beat Halstead, while London APSA have a bye in the first round and travel to Stanway Rovers in the second.
First Round (to be completed on or before Saturday, September 8): Barking v Brightlingsea Regent, Halstead Town v Eton Manor.
Second Round (to be completed on or before Saturday October, 6): Burnham Ramblers v Wivenhoe Town, Takeley v Southend Manor, Barkingside v Bowers & Pitsea, FC Clacton v Barking or Brightlingsea Regent, Basildon United v Stansted, Great Wakering Rovers v Halstead Town or Eton Manor, Hullbridge Sports v Saffron Walden Town, Stanway Rovers v London APSA.
