Transfer news: Leon Redwood has joined the Bees
Brentford have signed former Brighton and Hove Albion youngster Leon Redwood after a successful trial.
The 20-year-old left-sided star has signed a one-year development squad contract after being released by the Seagulls.
Ose Aibangee, Brentford’s Head of Youth Development, said: “Leon will supplement the development squad and group but ultimately his, and our aim, is for him to get into the first team”.
The Bees are also tracking Everton youngster Jake Bidwell but a deal has not yet been agreed.
The Toffees full back spent a successful loan spell at Griffin Park last season and manager Uwe Rosler wants to bring him back to west London.
Transfer news: Scout and former sporting director of French club Monaco Tor-Kristian Karlsen has claimed that Liverpool are set to pip Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United to the signing of Schalke defender Kyriakos Papadopoulos.
