Roberto Di Matteo is looking to regain the Blues’ Premier League crown
Chelsea boss Roberto Di Matteo is determined to knock Manchester City off their perch.
The Citizens won the Premier League last season after a last-gasp triumph against QPR and finished 25 points clear of the Blues, who triumphed in the Champions League.
The Italian told The Sun: “City have done what we did in 2004 — exploded on to the scene, signed a lot of players and tried to build a foundation.
“The challenge for us is to make up 25 points on them and that is going to be very difficult. We have to be much more consistent.
“My job now is to motivate the players and find the right team to challenge in every league game.”
