The former Helena Romanes School student took advantage of a goalkeeping error to nudge home and make it two wins out of two for the GB women so far.

The match proved to be a thrilling spectacle for the packed out crowd at the Riverbank Arena, with South Korea staging a dramatic comeback from 3-1 down to tie the match up.

But late goals from Georgie Twigg and Rogers, who struck with eight minutes to go, were enough to see the home side over the finish line.

Nic White and Crista Cullen had given the hosts a 2-0 lead, while striker Alex Danson restored the two-goal cushion after South Korea had reduced the deficit.

GB are now top of Group A after leapfrogging reigning Olympic champions Netherlands on goal difference.

Next up for Rogers and co is a meeting with Belgium on Thursday at 7pm.
