B.M.A.K.G Karate Club came back with five medals from the recent SENI International London Open Championships held at the ExCel in London.

It was a long and hard day for all the club’s competitors, who are under the tutelage of Sensei Steven Perry at various venues across Essex, including Dagenham.

Clare Perry produced a strong performance to take gold in the Kumite section in her first international competition.

Six-year-old Star Perry returned with silver in Kumite, while also entering in their first competitions, Kieran Weiner and Val O’Neil finished with bronze medals to show for their efforts.

And the club’s final medallist was River Perry who finished with a bronze in the Kata section, while team-mates Glen Weiner, Tim Buckley, Fox Perry and Brian Woodhouse also competed for the club.
