Barking joint top scorers Kiernan Hughes-Mason and Billy Jones have both left the club ahead of the 2018/19 Bostik North season.

Striker and first-team coach Hughes-Mason joined the club from Grays Athletic and went on to make 35 appearances, finding the net a total of 10 times, as he helped guide the Blues to a tenth place finish.

He has opted to leave the club and seek a new venture in New Zealand for the upcoming season.

The club tweeted: “It is with a heavy heart that we report the departure of Kiernan Hughes-Mason.

“He will be sorely missed by all at the club and leaves a huge gap to fill.

“We would like to thank him for his hardwork and dedication during his time at the club and wish him all the best for the future.”

Striker Jones also left the club after also featuring 35 times and picking up 10 goals last term.

He tweeted: “Thanks to all at Barking FC for last season.

“A very well run club who I can’t thank enough for everything after what happened last season.

“Wish them nothing but success in the future with a great bunch of lads.”
