Daggers forward Ade Yusuff will not rest on his laurels after scoring his first two goals for the club last Saturday and is determined to keep scoring in the Football League.

Yusuff, who moved to the Victoria Road club in September from non-league Chatham Town, scored twice against Accrington Stanley to earn Wayne Burnett’s side a 2-1 victory and a much-needed three points.

The youngster was introduced at half time, with Daggers trailing to a goal from Sean Maguire, who is on loan from West Ham.

However Yusuff turned the game on its head by scoring two brilliant goals – his first in the professional game.

Yusuff burst past two Stanley players before smashing into the bottom corner for his first in the 57th minute.

And eight minutes later he gave Daggers the lead when he accelerated past his marker and again found the bottom corner.

The forward was delighted and is sure this is just the start for him.

“I am just on cloud nine and no one can ever tell me I haven’t scored in the Football League,” said Yusuff.

“I just want to kick on now and it doesn’t stop here. I have to keep going and I have to keep working hard.

“The coaching staff have been patient with me, they have helped me in every single way possible and helped me develop my game.

“I have got a long way to go and hopefully this is only the start and I can keep scoring goals and keep helping the club pick up three points.”

Although delighted with his two goals, Yusuff was equally happy that it contributed towards a victory.

He praised the efforts of his team-mates and thanked them for allowing him to show what he could do.

“I can’t take anything away from the boys,” added Yusuff.

“We worked so hard and they gave me the space to get my opportunities.

“I’m just thankful we got the three points in the end because it is not about me, it is a team effort. We needed everyone and we definitely dug in towards the end.

“I never ever want to not be a professional footballer now that I have actually got it.

“Now I have scored in the league I just want to get more and I’m hungry to keep going.”
