Daggers sign youngster on loan, but confusion over length of the deal

Dagenham & Redbridge have signed highly rated Huddersfield Town development squad forward Daniel Carr on loan.

However confusion remains over the length of the loan for the 21-year-old forward as the Championship team announced it was until the end of the season.

But the Victoria Road outfit confirmed it was just for a month.

Either way boss Wayne Burnett will have another forward at his disposal, after it was confirmed earlier that Alex Jakubiak has extended his stay until the end of the season.

Carr spent a month on loan at league rivals Mansfield between October and November – scoring once in four appearances.

He has made two substitutes appearances since signing for Huddersfield in April 2013 after impressing for non-league Dulwich Hamlets.

The forward had Premier League clubs Chelsea, Liverpool and Tottenham Hotspur reportedly interested in him prior to signing for the Championship club.

He will now hope to make the most of his time at Victoria Road and help Daggers move further away from the relegation places.
