Dagenham & Redbridge boss Wayne Burnett is expecting a completely different test to anything else his side have come up against so far this season when they face Mansfield Town tomorrow.

Daggers opened their League Two account with a fine 2-0 win at Hartlepool in midweek, thanks to a goal in each half from Luke Howell and captain Abu Ogogo.

But Burnett says his men will have to be ready for their next challenge at Victoria Road against a muscular Stags side who
celebrated a 1-0 win over Newport County on Tuesday and sit in ninth place in the League Two table going into the fixture.

“It will be a totally different game against a side with a style of play we haven’t come up against yet so far this term,” he said.

“They were very physical on both occasions last season and I don’t think it will be any different this time around.

“We know we will have to setup slightly different to how we have done so far this season, but hopefully we can come out on top and build on the win at Hartlepool.”

Last season the Stags took four points off the Daggers, starting with a 3-0 win at Field Mill at the end of August last year, which Burnett described as one of the worst performances of last season. That was followed by a goalless draw at Victoria Road in March.
