Pre-season friendly: Cheshunt 2 Dagenham & Redbridge 3

Trialist Jamie Cureton was on the scoresheet as Daggers picked up a win at Ryman One North outfit Cheshunt.

Bradley Goldberg and Frankie Raymond were also on target, the latter from the penalty spot, as Wayne Burnett’s side move 3-0 up at the half-time break, before a goal at either end of the second half saw the Ambers reduce the arrears.

Cureton started alongside Goldberg up front, while another trialist Nabil Guedioura also featured for a Daggers side which included Mark Cousins, Frankie Raymond and a number of the Daggers Academy and under-18 squad.

It was Goldberg who gave the visitors a 19th minute lead when he got on the end of Charlie Yaxley’s long ball and chipped over the advancing home goalkeeper.

Cureton added a clever second two minutes later when he spotted the keeper off his line and found the net from 25 yards,

The Daggers looked like heading in at half time 2-0 up, but Guedioura was brought in the box by the keeper and although the Ambers stopper went the right way he couldn’t keep Raymond’s spot kick out.

Daggers made several changes at the break with youngsters and trialists brought on, which included former Crystal Palace striker Ibra Sekajja and ex-Everton and Southend United forward Femi Orenuga.

The hosts pulled one back three minutes into the half through Tunde Adewunmi, before reducing the deficit further two minutes from time when Allen Bossman netted.

Burnett will now take his side to Conference South side Ebbsfleet United on Saturday.

Daggers starting XI: Cousins, Yaxley (Wilkins 46), Hursit (Sekajja 60), Fitchett, Clarke, Raymond, Pykes, Guedioura, Goldberg (Orenuga 50), Olukogo, Cureton (Gardner 50).
