Essex club hope to build on success against Hartlepool United

Dagenham & Redbridge boss John Still knows his team face another stern test in the National League when they hosts Boreham Wood on Tuesday.

The Essex club snapped a four-game winless run in the league on Saturday with a 4-2 success at home to Hartlepool United.

Daggers will hope to add to that success against Wood, who have been one of the surprise packages this term and sit eighth in the table

Victory for Still’s side would see them close to within seven points of leaders Macclesfield Town, but the Daggers manager is only focussed on beat Wood.

“You look at the results from Saturday. Tranmere had been on a great run, but lost at Fylde on New Year’s Day and needed a last-minute equaliser on Saturday against Barrow, who are struggling,” he said.

“Even the teams towards the bottom of the league, they are tough games against them.

“I’m aware there is no game in this league you can go into and go ‘we will win that’; you have to play and earn the right to win.”
