Dagenham & Redbridge will be looking to put their recent problems behind them as they face National League promotion hopefuls Aldershot Town this weekend.

The Daggers will welcome the Shots to Victoria Road on Saturday (5.30pm) as they look to end a bad run of form in front of the BT Sport cameras.

John Still’s men have only won one of their last eight National League fixtures and have been enduring off-pitch problems throughout the week.

They will be hoping to get away from the problems and earn themselves three points to help them get their season back on track after slipping down to 10th in the table in recent weeks.

Manager Still could be limited with his squad selection choices for the clash as the club are now without young striker Joe White, who joined Stevenage on an undisclosed fee last week, while defender Kevin Lokko also left the club after being recalled by parent club Stevenage after spending more than five months on loan at Daggers.

Captain Scott Doe has also terminated his contract with the club for personal reasons.

Full-back Sam Ling has signed for rivals Leyton Orient on an undisclosed fee and striker Morgan Ferrier has returned to Boreham Wood for an undisclosed fee.

It is also unknown whether any more players may be unavailable for selection as the club is expecting to make a few more player releases in the coming weeks due to Glyn Hopkin resigning as director of the club late last week.

Daggers go into the match after having a weekend off as they made the long trip north to face Halifax Town on Saturday, but saw the fixture postponed after the pitch at The Shay failed a late pitch inspection just an hour and 15 minutes before kick-off.

Owing to heavy rain in the hours before kick-off, the pitch in Yorkshire was deemed unplayable because of a waterlogging.

The decision to call the game off so close to kick-off is likely to have infuriated Daggers boss Still, as well as the fans who had travelled up for the game.

It is not the first time a game at The Shay has been called off at short notice, with Leyton Orient suffering a similar fate on their trip to Halifax last month.

At the time of writing, there is no scheduled date for the rearranged fixture for the game at The Shay.
