Daggers winger honoured at National Game Awards

Dagenham & Redbridge forward Fejiri Okenabirhie has been named the England C Player of the Year at the National Game Awards.

The 22-year-old was honoured for his stellar displays for the non-league national team this season.

Away to Wales C in March, Okenabirhie scored a hat-trick in a thrilling 3-2 victory for England C.

The former Stevenage man was present to collect his award on Wednesday at a ceremony at Stamford Bridge, the home of Premier League side Chelsea.

Okenabirhie will hope to continue his fine form for England C when he links up with the squad once again later this month.

The former Arsenal trainee has been named in the squad to travel to Dublin to take on a side from the Republic of Ireland.

Joining Okenabirhie in the England C squad are fellow Dagenham & Redbridge players Charlee Adams and Luke Pennell, with the latter receiving his first call-up.
